Coming Soon: Idol Factories

This fall in Karis Church, we’ll take a quick break from our series in Acts and peer into our hearts, looking at the idols that shape our behavior. John Calvin once said that “man’s nature, so to speak, is a perpetual factory of idols.” We exchange the worship of the glorious God, for lesser, unsatisfying things. We over-work. We chase after sex. We buy every new shiny thing. Yet lurking under each of those superficial idols are longings only the Lord Himself can satisfy – desires for control, comfort, approval, and power. We’ll take a look at each beginning August 23rd. Don’t miss it.
